In the upper part of the city, the Schamann neighborhood pays homage in its streets and squares to Benito Pérez Galdós, the most universal writer of Gran Canaria. This area is the perfect spot from which to look out and enjoy a wide panoramic view of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the Atlantic Ocean and especially the Port of Las Palmas.
