Winter Show VII: Zamba de los humildes (Zamba of the humble)

Drums and Latin American music arranged by Vicente Umpiérrez add sound and color to the text of the Colombian Nobel Prize winner, which inspires a Winter Show full of magic and reflection.

The staging of García Márquez’s Christmas story is accompanied by the musical recreation of Pablo Neruda’s poem Ode to Poverty, in an artistic tribute to the humble: to the children, to the women and men who, in every corner of the world, suffer the painful consequences of inequality and injustice.

Under the creative and artistic direction of Yanira Sánchez, more than a hundred artists from different generations give life to the seventh edition of this co-production of Memvus Arte and the Fundación Auditorio y Teatro de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
