In The Yugoslavians it all begins when a waiter asks for help from a customer whom he has seen lifting, with words, the spirits of another. What the waiter begs the stranger to do is to speak to his wife, who seems to be sinking into sadness and silence. The waiter hopes that the customer will discover the saving words that he is unable to find for his wife.
