The city of Galdós

Benito Pérez Galdós, one of the great authors of universal literature, was born in the capital of Gran Canaria in 1843, where he lived until he was 19 years old. This self-guided route proposes a tour of the places where he was born, raised and grew up, in the heart of the historic center. The tour begins at his birthplace and the church where he was baptized, and continues through other places and institutions that had a direct relationship with Galdós, and which today are references of the cultural, political and religious life of the city.
