Las Palmas Bay Coastal Trail

The harbour landscape, the panoramic views of the city from the coastline and the vastness of the Atlantic Ocean are some of the scenes revealed along the coastal trail of Las Palmas Bay.

The route follows a seaside promenade that runs alongside the sea, parallel to Avenida Marítima, the city’s main artery, stretching for approximately 10 kilometres.

This route, which can be completed on foot or by bicycle, begins at the Onda Atlántica overpass, next to Mercado del Puerto, and runs along the Sanapú Pier and Wilson Pier of the Port of Las Palmas to Santa Catalina Maritime Park—beside the cruise pier. It then reaches Las Alcaravaneras Beach and the Muelle Deportivo, passes through the historic district of Vegueta, continues to the seafaring neighbourhood of San Cristóbal, and finally follows on to La Laja Beach, the southern boundary of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
