Cittá di Martinsicuro Viewpoint (La Cornisa Promenade)

From the Italian town of Martinsicuro you can see the Adriatic Sea. And from the Cittá di Martinsicuro viewpoint, on the promenade of La Cornisa, you can enjoy a wide panoramic view of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the Atlantic Ocean and especially the Port of Las Palmas, which united these two cities and some of its inhabitants.

Between the 40s and 60s of the last century, the fishing fleet of this region of the province of Teramo was based here. Many crew members made the capital of Gran Canaria their residence and even settled here.

To bear witness to this link, in 2009 the city of Martinsicuro dedicated a traffic circle on its seafront promenade to Las Palmas de Gran Canaria; in 2010, the viewpoint of La Cornisa promenade was renamed to reinforce the historical ties of these two cities twinned by the sea.
