Las Alcaravaneras Beach, with its golden sand and almost one kilometre in length, is one of the finest harbour beaches in Spain. Primarily family-oriented and sports-focused, the calm waters, sheltered by the Port of Las Palmas, make it ideal for swimming and for practising sports such as canoeing, paddle-surfing and sailing.
Its sand hosts constant sporting activity, supported by freely accessible courts for beach volleyball, basketball and beach football.
Las Alcaravaneras is bordered by the Real Club Náutico (next to the Naval Base) and the Muelle Deportivo, home to the Club Marítimo Varadero. A pedestrian promenade runs alongside the beach, parallel to Avenida Marítima. Just a short distance away, crossing this avenue via the bridge that spans it or through the Naval Base, visitors can reach the commercial area of Mesa y López.
Services:
Lifeguard and rescue service (seasonal). Accessible toilets. Priority area for PRM. Sports areas. Children’s playground.
