Cabildo de Gran Canaria Building

The Cabildo de Gran Canaria building, designed by Miguel Martín-Fernández de la Torre, is an important example of European rationalist architecture. Located on Bravo Murillo Street, next to the old northern wall of the city, it opened its doors on April 29, 1941 to house the seat of government of the island, the Cabildo de Gran Canaria. As a landmark building, it has a clock tower that can be seen in the distance across Pérez Galdós Street.

The architect Alejandro de la Sota was in charge of the restoration and expansion project of the building, which was carried out between 2005 and 2011.
