The CICCA (Centro de Iniciativas de La Caja de Canarias) is a venue dedicated to culture and conference activity, located in the very heart of the historic and commercial area of the Vegueta–Triana district, on Alameda de Colón and opposite Plaza de Cairasco.
The building was designed by architect Manuel Ponce de León in 1859 for the Mayorazgo of the Castillo de Olivares family. Later, in the 20th century, it successively housed the Cuatro Estaciones, Negresco and Cairasco hotels. Since 1990, it has served as the main venue for the cultural activities of La Caja de Canarias.
CICCA features a theatre and an exhibition hall, as well as several spaces used for educational and outreach activities.
