Philharmonic Society Season

The Philharmonic Society offers a regular program of concerts that has in the Paraninfo of the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria one of its main stages.

Created in 1845, it was, together with the Canary Museum and the Literary Cabinet, one of the fundamental pillars in the impulse of the cultural life of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria in the middle of the XIX century. It is the oldest musical society in Spain and the seed of what today is the Philharmonic Orchestra of Gran Canaria.
